Overall Responsibilities:

Being part of the lease up of “Andy’s” (1510 Webster Street), the Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day community operations, providing excellent customer service experience, managing team members, meeting financial targets, creating unique and memorable events, preparing monthly close-out and financial reports, processing invoices for payment, collecting rent, and working with the leasing to drive results. Reporting to the Director of Hospitality and Property Management, this role will give you great exposure to senior level management and allow you to join a cutting-edge team that is redefining housing in the Bay Area. This position will assist with a new property coming on-line at the end of Q1.

The Property Manager will provide focused customer service experience, ensure property compliance with company standards, and be an integrated part of our building community to ensure a positive, transparent relationship.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Yardi to track apartment availability, record traffic and leasing activities, manage resident and prospect data.
  • Promote tenant satisfaction and retention by following up on the root cause of continued issues and ensuring follow up with their satisfaction.
  • Promote positive online reviews and resident retention programs to support reputation.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure property compliance with company standards.
  • Collect security deposits, rents and all other funds associated with leasing and document each transaction properly within Yardi.
  • Assist the Leasing Manager and leasing agents, maintenance technicians and resident support team to ensure the needs of day-to-day operations are met.
  • Supervise staff by interviewing, hiring, training, and conducting annual employee reviews with authentic feedback.
  • Curate unique and memorable weekly resident events that will drive an exceptional, “I want to live here” experience.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive documents and information.
  • Represent the communities and oWOW in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort in any way possible.
  • Approve invoices and work orders according to budget, ensure completion of all projects prior to final payment approval.

Skills:

Teamwork:

  • Great interpersonal skills that allow to work with others where assistance is needed, able to ask for assistance appropriately.
  • Assist the Leasing Manager/team, with leasing activities to achieve the community’s revenue and occupancy goals.

Customer Service:

  • Proficiency in excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with residents and vendor contacts.

Time Management:

  • Ability to ensure timely execution of day-to-day responsibilities for the overall completion of tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize and accurately perform multiple tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines.

Technological skills:

  • Web based Google Applications, (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) & various apps.
  • Previous experience in Yardi required.

Processes and Procedures:

  • Create processes to provide consistent and constant improvement of services for residents.
  • Ability to communicate all pertinent information to the Director of Hospitality and Property Management.
  • Good understanding and implementation of Landlord Tenant and Fair Housing Laws.

Mobility/Physical Conditions:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Occupational bending, lifting, climbing, and able to lift of move up to 50 pounds.

Outdoor Conditions:

  • Ability to work outdoors in temperatures above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit for short periods of time.

Language:

  • Fluent in English verbally and written.


Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • At least 5-6 years of property management experience.
  • Yardi experience is mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, verbally, nonverbally, and written.
  • Ability to work in a positive and cooperative manner with others.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • A valid driver's license, insurance and vehicle.
  • Ability to work on weekends and on-call basis for emergencies.
